I was asked to post results to my requests for sources(books, videos
etc.) for instructing first years on plagiarism. Quite a number of
people were interested in results because they try to teach this also.
James sent me a very interesting posting from the History of Law
listserv from a constitutional law professor who gave a paper assignment
to his undergraduate class. He now warns the students to see him in
advance if they plan to use the web so he can give them citation format,
and tells them that he can detect plagiarism from the web quite easily.
That was the only response.
To the number of people who asked that I post results, I would suggest
if any of you are on the listserv for legal research instructors that you
post a similar request on it, and please post the results on this
listserv, and email me if possible. Thanks.
