Rebekah,
The service name is DBT. It uses the Autotrak telecommunications
software to connect.
It's a good generally inexpensive tool for obtaining an individual's
address history, ssn, and date of birth. It also offers numerous public
records services unavailable elsewhere like ability to order Florida
accident reports online.
It's well worth having around, but I'll warn you that their credit
department is a stickler for timely payment of accounts. They won't
hesitate to disconnect if the payment is a few days late.
