We are tearing out our hair over this title (or these titles -- that's
part of the problem). If you have ANY idea what's going on with them,
please let me know! I'll share the info with our cataloger and anyone
else who wants it. And I"ll leave out the issues of which things came in
paper and in fiche -- the saga is already complicated enough. Oh yes,
I've already searched both OCLC and RLIN, as well as individual OPACs,
and still am at a loss to understand this.
Titles in question are:
1. Judicial business of the U.S. Courts
2. Report of the director : activities of the Administrative Office
3. Activities of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts
4. Reports of the proceedings of the Judicial Conference of the
United States Courts
5. United States courts : selected reports
6. Federal judicial workload statistics
7. Federal judicial caseload statistics
We started with Title #4. There's a note in the record dated 11/94
stating that, per Govdoc-L postings, title had changed to #5. When we got
the new one, we'd close out the reocrds. But we never got anything that
had Title #5, although the LC cataloging record for it has bunches of
library holdings. We were also getting Title #2, which was issued both
separately and with Title #4. Somehow the 1993 ed. of Title #1 was
received and noted on Title #6, which now seems to have changed into #7.
We just got the 1994 and 1995 eds. on request, not through depository.
In July we got one fiche for Title #3, which was hard to read.
None of the physical pieces does a good job of explaining how they relate
to one another, either as a title change or a supplement. It is driving
us UP THE WALL. We don't know if we have everything, or somehow missed
getting Title #5, and or additional titles.
I've searched
If ANYONE knows ANYTHING about this, you would have my undying
gratitude. And maybe even chocolate :)
