I realize this is a late reply to the request for notable footnotes,
but here goes anyway.
Anyone who needs a good chuckle for the day should try Gammon v. GC
Services, 27 F3d 1254. The court cites in a footnote an item from the
World Weekly News in which it is revealed that 12 U.S. senators are
space aliens. The excerpt from the article is quite extensive and
includes a quotation from one of the senators admitting that it is
true.
