Try the National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections, at any large
research library. Part of it is even accessible on-line, now. For
general info, go to

http://lcweb.loc.gov/coll/nucmc/

and on their "NUCMC Cataloging" page (add "nucmccat.htm" to above URL)
you can search the more recent cataloging records, created between 1986
and 1993. "The cataloging in the earlier volumes is not currently
available in machine-readable form" according to the website.
