RE: Determining which libraries have papers of historical figures

        You might try finding definitive biographies of each of the gentlemen,
and in some cases I use the term loosley. There should certainly be
biographies of Rayburn and Garner. The advantage would be the sources
section (if extant) - the research must have been done somewhere.

        Another option is to call the Johnson Presidential Library in Austin,
or the University of Texas Library, also in Austin. Maybe even the
State Capitol to see if they have an archivist with information. Since
all of these guys apparently are from Texas there might be someone at
the libraries mentioned who knows where the papers of prominent Texans
are deposited. It should be worth a try.
