headquartered in New York City, seeks a Database Administrator to manage
its integrated online library system, TechLibplus.
The Database Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of
the IOLS and the Basis webserver gateway, quality control of database content,
installing upgrades & identifying and implementing innovative
solutions. The DBA must maintain excellent working relationships with both
in-house Information Systems personnel and Information Dementions
consultants.
Candidate should have experience with integrated online library systems
and relational databases; have a working knowledge of UNIX, Windows NT and
Netscape; possess light programming abilities and an understanding of
bibliographic data, MARC format and library practices. BA/BS required, MLS
preferred.
