SUBJECT: Leg.Hist.Guide/UPDATE
I've been away for a couple of days and came back to a mail-box with lots of re
quests for our Guide to Preparing Legislative Histories -- Before I get any mor
e requests, let me state, this is a one page, inhouse guide -- nothing fancy, a
nd tells basically what we include in a legislative history with some additiona
l stuff that any compiler could include. Most of the material could be found i
n our collection (i.e., not all of you might have the same stuff we do -- you m
ight have something even better). I offered it up in response to someone's que
stion that came over (I thought) law-lib, but might have been from any of the o
ther listservs I subscribe to, so I apologize for any confusion my last posting
may have caused.
I would especially like to add: If you do want a copy, the easiest thing is for
me to fax it to you at your library. Many people emailed me back asking for a
copy, but I had to email them back for a fax number. Also, Please be sure to
identify where you a emailing from (Institute, Address, Phone, etc.) -- it save
s time on my end -- Thanks, and again for those of you I have sent this to, ple
ase send your comments--Jane C. Butler
