I have just gotten off the telephone with Symantec Corporation. The
secure template Direct Access for Windows is now discontinued.
However, they have a competing product called Disclock. It is
available for Windows 3.1 (sugg. retail price $119) and Mackintosh
(sugg. retail price ($108). There is also a network version with an
administrator's ten-pack. The template for Windows 95 is called "For
your eyes only" (sounds like James Bond) and retails for $108. These
may be available for considerably less elsewhere.

Does anyone know of or use a Windows program that allows you to set up a
screen with a program window of icons that is secure. In other words,
students could not get to the program manager or move or delete icons
from the screen without a password--something similar to what Westlaw and
Lexis put on the student computers.
TIA
