Subject: Candian bibliographic verification
Greetings,
This is actually a patents question. I have a Candian Government
document, and I am trying to independenly establish the date of
publication. My attorneys tell me that they normally accept a
Library of Congress card number. I am trying to find the Canadian
equivalent.
I have printouts from two different sources. One is called:
"MICROLOG Canadian Research Index" and the other is from UTLAS.
My problem is that I can't figure out what the field code abbrevi-
ations stand for. MICROLOG has PY, MN, AN and UD. I assume that
PY is Publication Year and AN is Accession Number, but what are
the other two?
UTLAS has a field called RSN that looks like an accession number,
but I don't see anything that says what date the record was added.
Can anyone help me with this?
TIA
