Last week our Bender rep described a new offer whereby our library could
receive free almost all of their titles on CD while we maintain our paper
subscriptions. There are a few contractual promises we must make that will
be a bit difficult for our library to accomodate if we accept the offer.
Has any other library analyzed the issues pro and con of this offer and
can share with me the considerations that led your library to take Bender
up on this or turn the offer down? I will gladly summarize for the list
any responses received. This offer sounds real good until you read that
contract they want you to sign.
