[Forgive the commercial, but I am following the lead of other distinguished
authors here. (Most notably an "Oxford Dictionary of . . . ." author.) I hope that
he wasn't flamed too badly for putting his publication announcement up on
the list. In the belfief that he wasn't, here's mine:]
I am pleased to announce that the second edition of, National Survey of States
Laws, (Gale Research), has been (finally) completed and sent to the printers. It
should be available for delivery in September 1996. The second edition is
greatly expanded over the previous edition with over 200 additional pages and
seven new chapters with expanded coverage of all exisiting topics plus special
emphasis on AIDS and sexual preference issues, domestic violence,
whistleblowing, computer crimes and state lotteries. The new edition also
contains a cross-reference table to help users identify issues that cross topic
areas.
The book was noted as one of the New York Public Library's Outstanding
Reference Books of 1993, and was noted in Wilson Library Bulletin's
"Field-Tested Reference Materials," January 1995.
Thanks for your indulgence. (It was a lot of work.)
