The Boston University Pappas Law Library has an opening for a Reference/Senior Reference Librarian and International Law Liaison.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate as a member of the reference department team of four professional librarians and one reference services assistant. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of reference and public services policies, procedures, and publications; provide extensive reference services to students and faculty; develop and teach online and traditional research instructional programs; and actively participate in collection development. In addition, this position will be a subject specialist in international law research and will act as a liaison to the international law journal, graduate programs and faculty. Some evening and weekend hours are required during the academic year. This position reports to the Head of Reference Services.
REQUIREMENTS: M.L.S. from an A.L.A. accredited library school required. J.D. from an A.B.A. accredited law school strongly preferred. One to three years relevant experience required. Experience or an interest in developing expertise in international law research strongly preferred. Substantial knowledge of WESTLAW/DIALOG, LEXIS/NEXIS and the Internet. Strong service orientation, organizational and interpersonal skills essential.
