AALL Awards (was: Rewards)

I might be misremembering, but I think the AALL Awards Committee can give
awards for electronic resources, so there could be recognition of authors
of great Internet resources such as web sites, as with books - a really
well-conceived home page for instance can look in print like a
wonderful research guide.

And in terms of recognition of service to the profession that would include
helpfulness on Internet mailing lists/listservs, I think Chapters, SISes,
AALL have these types of awards in place - law librarianship, technical
services, etc. awards - and general helpfulness I think is taken into
account in attaining leadership positions in our profession. Hmm,
special Internet service awards? Chapters have started having Internet
committees - wonder if any have considered granting such awards?

Cheers,
Lyo
