Okay friends, I'm stumped!
I have in front of me a story from Reuters from May 2, 1996 entitled
"Whiplash is all in the head, researchers say" The artlcle makes
reference to the "Lancet" and a study done by a Norwegian neuorlogist,
Dr. Harald Schrader, who questioned 200 people in Lithuania about long
-term neck pain following rear-end collisions. Dr. Schrader seems to
imply that absent motor vehicle liablility insurance, there is no long-term
whiplash.
Our local Medical School Library (Dartmouth) was unable to find any
article in the Lancet. The librarian tried several on-line services
unavailable to me. Does anybody have any ideas? All help is
appreciated.
