The article discusses a planned "centralized party locator service". The
user would dial an 800 number and search a database that would reveal
which individual courts had matches, and would supply some basic case
information along with the hits. The user would then have to dial up the
individual courts to get the PACER dockets. The article also mentions
long range plans to make PACER available via the internet.
