One of our professors is looking for biographical information on a Judge
Russell (no first name) in Massachusetts in the 1860's. I talked with a
very nice librarian at the Massachusetts State Library and she found the
name of an associate justice of the Superior Court in 1860 named Thomas
Russell. The judge we want was also involved with the Boston School Ship
for juvenile offenders. If anyone has a biographical dictionary/directory
of Massachusetts judges, or important citizens of the time period, could
