Michael--As I recall from library school, Dewey touted library service as
a good job for women. The motivation was simple: women could be hired
for less money. Thus librarianship became a largely female profession.
However--I agree with you on general principles...My nephew will be
visiting me this summer. I assure you--he'll get a tour of my workplace!
