Reference/Faculty Services Position available

 Pace University Law Library is looking for a new Reference/Faculty
Services Librarian

This is a full-time position within the Public Services Department,
and will report to the Associate Director/Head of Public Services.
The specific responsibilities include: Coordinating a very active
Faculty Liaison Program and providing research assistance to members
of the Law School faculty; interviewing, hiring and training Research
Assistants for employment in the Law Library; assigning and
supervising the work of Library Research Assistants; assisting
candidates for graduate degrees with their research projects;
monitoring services offered to faculty, LL.M., and J.S.D. candidates
and developing new and expanded programs; serving as a liaison to the
three student journals; conducting database searches for faculty and
students as appropriate; providing reference services to members of
the Pace University community, members of the bar, users of the
government documents collection, and the general public, occasional
evening and weekend hours as needed; participating with other
reference librarians in teaching basic and advanced computer assisted
legal research, other online services, and other topics as required;
preparing bibliographies and library guides; helping to develop the
library's Internet services and homepages; performing other duties as
assigned. Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS and ABA- accredited JD.
Knowledge of LEXIS, WESTLAW, NEXIS, DIALOG, OCLC, RLIN, HTML, and the
Internet desirable. Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Service orientation
a must. Setting: Pace Law School is located in suburban White
Plains, New York, approximately thirty minutes from Manhattan by
train. The Law School is known for its environmental law programs and
for its strong emphasis on clinical education. The Law School is
home to the Institute for International Commercial Law and the
Battered Women's Justice Center. The Law Library reflects the
school's programs with its fine environmental law collection and its
good collection of international law materials. The staff of nine
librarians and nine paraprofessionals uses a mix of technologies to
serve an active faculty and student body. The library is fully
automated using the Innovative Interfaces system. Salary:
