Show them some basic library procedures and how it would be
different in a law library. Some of them may have school
libraries where they help the librarian out. Show them the
similarities in libraries before you show them the
differences. Several years ago, a friend developed a
library trivia game which was supposed to be developed by
ALA. I don't know what happened to it, but you might use
something like that as a "hook" to get them interested.
There are commercially prepared materials on library
lessons which might be used then vary it to the needs of a
law library. Have them "roleplay" librarian, let them see
how they can search Westlaw or Lexis and maybe the net.
Let them into your library and sit behind your desk for a
few minutes to get the "feel" if you have time.
