Hello Law Libbers
In our library we separate current from superseded books. Our
current books remain on the main floor and superseded books are placed on
the balcony. We use the LC system of classification and on top of the LC
call numbers our library historically has stuck a "RES" (reserve) above
the call numbers to distinguish superseded items from current items.
We find the term "RES" confusing for superseded materials; therefore
we are searching for a new term to use. For those of you who separate
current from superseded books, do you use the term "superseded" or another
term(s)? Any comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.
