AALL PRESS RELEASE
     
HEADLINE: AALL 1996 Annual Meeting Preliminary Program Now Available

March 22, 1996. The Preliminary Program for the American Association of Law
Libraries' (AALL) 89th Annual Meeting in Indianapolis is being mailed to AALL
members today.
     
The Program contains information on programs, workshops, institutes,
registration fees, housing, and excursions for the Annual Meeting to be held
July 20-25, 1996. The Program has been mailed at USPS bulk rate. This means
there is a (3) three week window for USPS delivery. AALL members should
receive the mailing no later than the week of April 15-19.
     
The announced registration deadline for the three Institutes-- Basic Law
Cataloging, Contemporary Practice of Public International Law, and Leading in
a Changing Environment --is May 1, however registrations will be accepted on
a space-available basis until June 24. Attendees may register and be
invoiced for payment.
     
June 24 is also the deadline for receipt of payment. Housing availability
for the Cataloging and Public International Law Institutes is guaranteed
through June 24. AALL members and others who need additional information may
contact Maggie Kearney, Program Assistant, AALL Executive Staff Office at
312/939-4770 x30.

There is currently electronic access to the schedule of Educational Programs
and Workshops and the List of Meetings and Events scheduled for the 1996
Annual Meeting. This information is updated every month to 6 weeks and is
available on the Association's World Wide Web site called AALLNET:
