Like Thomas, I was puzzled by the apparent gap in the law-lib archives. And
my messages to the Cornell webmasters also went unanswered. I finally solved
the mystery yesterday afternoon by just rummaging around the site. About one
month ago, they switched to a hypertext archive. The new address is:

     http://www.law.cornell.edu/listservs/hypermail/table.html

This address provides links to the law-lib archives from 2/6/96 in hypertext,
as well as to the old archives up to 2/6/96. Since old messages keep falling
off the old system, it appears that Cornell is still keeping only the last
1000 messages posted to law-lib. That translates into just a few months.

So, Washlaw doesn't have to worry about taking up the slack for law-lib
archives, although it was very kind of them to step in when we thought we
had a problem. I for one really appreciate the support we get from the
Washlaw crew.
