BOALT LAW LIBRARY CLOSURE

Dear colleagues, scholars and legal researchers:

The Law Library at Boalt Hall School of Law, (University of California
Berkeley) will be undergoing renovation during the summer of 1996. All of our
books must be removed from the library and placed in a storage facility. The
University's plan is to begin moving our foreign legal collection in early May.
As of Saturday, May 18 the library will be closed entirely for approximately
three months, during which time we will not have access to our collection. The
current projection is that we'll reopen by August 26, but that date is not
certain.

Please pass this message along to anyone you think might be planning to conduct
legal research at Boalt Hall this summer. We apologize for the inconvenience
that this may cause. We will keep you informed of any date changes.
