Counsel Connect

Several of our attorneys are asking about subscribing to Counsel Connect
groups - one for Banking, one for Pension. The problem is that these things
carry a heavy price tag - ie: $30.00 a month and we already offer internet
access to everybody so it means double payment. We even have a CC connect
password but they can't use it for the special group - does that seem right?
Seems to me that the people who are setting up these groups must be getting
a kickback from CC, or they would just do listservs on the Internet. Of
course the attorneys want to keep up with practice groups for their area,
but it's frustrating to try to keep an eye on budgets and explain your
objections to them.
Anybody else seeing this as a problem?
