OFFICE MEMO Old English case Date: 2/28/96
I have a student who is looking for an old English case and I am not having
much luck finding it. I am hoping that one of y'all might be able to bail me
out again!
The title of the case is Rylands v. Fletcher (1868). When I looked the case
up in The Digest, the cite it gave me was as follows (I think I managed to get
it exactly): LR 3 HL 330; [1861-1873] All ER Rep at p 12; 37 LJ Ex 161; 19 LT
220; 33 JP 70, HL. We have the English Reports and the Law Reports, but I'm
not sure where to look in those volumes from the cite(s?) given. I found all
the abbreviations in Bieber's, but I can't find any place that gives a
parallel cite to a source we have.
Could anyone give me a clue?
Many thanks!
