A special section of the Monday, February 26 Los Angeles Times (titled
Southern California Careers) focused on Getting Hired and Wired in the
Tech Job Explosion. It listed "Tech's top 10" jobs. One of these 10
is titled Cybrarians who are described as librarians of cyberspace,
professional information gatherers who make it their business to know
what kind of information is available on the internet and where to find
it so they can retrieve it for clients. It goes on to say that "getting
a handle on what is out there is more than half the battle". It goes on
for about 3 paragraphs. It lists education and experience as: formal
librarian training or professional experience tracking down industry
specific information, salary range low $20,000s to mid $70,000s,
estimated current employment listed as at least 15,000.
