Ann Atwater, Director of Library Services at the Orlando, Florida, firm of
Maguire, Voorhis & Wells, P.A. is in an Orlando hospital. After collapsing
at work on Monday, Ann lost consciousness. I understand that she is
stable, but has not yet regained consciousness.
Many of you know Ann for her work with AALL and SEAALL. She has
been with Maguire for the last ten years or so.
Please keep Ann, her husband Jerry (who always attends AALL and
SEAALL with Ann), and her sons in your thoughts and prayers. I know
they would appreciate it.
I understand that the Orlando law librarians have formally offered library
assistance to the Maguire firm in Ann's absence. I tip my hat to that
compassionate and energetic group, of whom I am proud to be an alumn.
