Thank-you to all who responded to my inquiry for recommendations for
CD-ROM products that contain federal tax forms.
Interestingly, three responses I received were from vendors.
BNA - Four people told me that they were using BNA's Tax Management
Portfolio. Most of the people bemoaned the fact that the tax forms
are not located on a separate CD-ROM. The CD is interactive.
CCH - One person responded that they were using this product but that
their hardware was unable to take advantage of CCH's new altered
interactive software.
Center Piece Software, Inc. - One person said that they are using
Laser Librarian and that the forms are of good quality and that the
lawyers love them. The only drawback is the way the tax tables

GPO - A couple of people mentioned that they were using this product
and that although not overly excited with it, it certainly fit within
their budgets. The CD is called "1995 IRS Federal Tax Forms." The
stock number is 648-095-00004-0 and it costs $46.00. (202) 512-1800
Kleinrock - Five people are using this product and note its
straightforward searching capabilities and like the fact that the
forms can be filled out on screen before printing. Searching can be
performed by form number. This product is available on Windows and
is a big improvement from previous releases. One person called to
tell me that she had sent away for demos from both Kleinrock and Tax
Library and found that both products were absolutely identical!

RIA - One person responded that they are using RIA's product. RIA
has new redi-prep sotware and has a calculation feature.
STF Services - Three people are using Superforms CD. One person
stated that it was easy to use and liked the fact that the forms
could be filled out on screen before printing. One person
enthusiastically endorsed this product noting the company's service
oriented practices and the great quality of the CD-ROM product. You
can order federal, state, local jurisidiction forms and even select a

Tax Analysts - One person uses this product and is happy with the
results. The CD is updated monthly and searching is easy.
