There has recently been some correspondence in a Sydney newspaper on this
topic. Indian Mynas can be less than welcome here mainly as they tend to
drive the local birds. I think the correspondent said that by planting a
particular tree, it attracted another type of bird with less unattractive
habits which was territorial enough to persuade the Indian Mynas to leave.
That's the type of solution to look for.
