We recently received our invoice for renewal of Shepard's "Causes of
Action" (01/96-12/96).
We have a letter in our file which states that "After 1995 ... no further
print volumes of COA will be published. Instead, new articles will be
made available on CD-ROM in WordPerfect format as an optional add-on to
the annual supplement service." (Letter from Roderick J. Mortimer,
Managing Editor - COA, dated January 5, 1995).
I talked to someone at Shepard's Customer Service, who told me the title
had been sold to Thomson (Warren Gorham Lamont, I assume), and that she
did not know at this point what the future holds for this publication.
She is supposed to call me back next week.
The unresolved question is:
Will this title be CD-ROM, or continue in paper, or will it continue to
be published at all?
If anyone knows any more about this, please respond.
