For the AALL annual meeting in Indianapolis, I am co-coordinating a two-part
program on "Getting a Job and Filling a Vacancy." Each part will have
librarian speakers from each type of law library (academic; state, county or
court; and private), as well as a personnel speaker. We will also have
role-playing of bad and good interviews.
We would like to include in the program materials your advice, suggestions
and stories--the humorous, the bizarre, the horror stories and, of course,
your special successes. So, if you would like to share your experiences
with people attending the meeting, please send them to me. I will compile
them without names. Since you are in a better position to know what details
might compromise your anonymity, please word your submissions with that in
mind. I do not intend to edit them in any way.
