I think we can all appreciate it when any publisher tries to answer tough
questions, and I don't think Aspen should feel that they are the target of
"so much ill will". Consider the amount of frustration that is expressed
with other publishers. Rather I would be encouraged that they are trying
to respond quickly to any grievance (of course the proof is in the final
outcome).
I would hope that ALL of the publishers would take note whenever a
complaint is raised against any of them, so that they can see what
librarians really want from them. Perhaps then they could anticipate the
results of their actions better and, thus, provide better service.
