Hello again-
Page one of the Dukminier and Johanson case book on Wills has a
quote from a letter by Thomas Jefferson. The cite provided is 7
Jefferson's Works 454 (Monticello ed. 1904). The letter is to James
Madison and dated September 6, 1789.
We would like to get a copy of the text of this letter. After a
long search on OCLC and the WWW, we finally found (thanks to William
& Mary's Swem Library) that the true title is The Works of Thomas
Jefferson; collected and ed. by Paul Leicester Ford. This set is 12
volumes long.
Its availability seems to be limited, and in the DC area, it is held
by 3 unresponsive undergraduate libraries.
Could anyone out there copy and fax this letter to me? Both the
Professor and I would be deeply in your debt.
Thank you,
Brian-
