 Yes, I agree that we as Law Librarians can see that the publisher's
prices are getting outrageous. This however, has nothing to do with the
Victoria's Secret case. In that case, as I understand it, the woman
compared her catalog discount (of a 10% off coupon, I believe) to a MALE
coworker's discount of a 20% off coupon.

 I suspect that this woman will find that Victoria's Secret will attempt to
prove that catalogs were sent to men with higher discounts to
encourage them to make a purchase - an "Economic Impact", as women are
more likely to purchase underwear for themselves! The catalogs sent out
to men may not always generate sales, shall we say...

 The "Economic Impact" suffered by library budgets as a result of the
publishers increases is non-discriminatory - we all suffer!
