I've found a few errors in volume 1 of the 1995 Shepard's Wisconsin
Citations and wanted to pass these along. I called Shepard's: their editing
department will "look into it."
On page 999 of Volume 1, Fullerton Lumber Co. v. Torborg, 274 Wis. 478 is
listed as having been decided in 1956. It was filed in 1956, but not
decided until January of 1957.
On page 1049, Estate of Baumgarten, 12 Wis. 2d 212 is listed as 1960. It
was actually decided in January of 1961.
Also, the December Wisconsin Citations pamphlet is way behind. References
to Martz v. Trecker, 193 Wis. 2d 588, 535 N.W. 2d 57 (1995) are still just
by its docket number: 94-0733. However, this case has been published since
August! There are probably many more examples of this problem, because an
editor at Shepard's told me that they are a little behind due to a database
upgrade.
Has anyone else found errors in Shepard's Wisconsin? A couple of my
attorneys are quite angry about this.
