I've been asked to post the following about the SCALL Institute:
THE 25TH ANNUAL SCALL INSTITUTE
The Institute Committee is planning a stimulating program on March 1 and
2, 1996 in picturesque Santa Barbara. The Annual Institute spotlights
ethical predicaments from the legal, business and library communities
with speakers from each profession sharing their knowledge. Speakers
include attorneys from the State Bar Court and Legal Ethics Hotline. A
legal ethics professor from Pepperdine and a business ethics professor
from USC will also present their views. In addition, a panel of
librarians will discuss ethical situations encountered while performing
their professional responsibilities. On the whole, the Institute
promises to be an excellent opportunity for law librarians to understand
the ethical hazards and standards of these professions.
More specific information regrading costs, registration and arrangements
will be forthcoming in the SCALL Newsletter and over the Internet.
