Thanks to the great members of law-lib once again, I have managed to
untangle the story of "Areeda and Hovenkamp". Since I was asked to post
the answer to law-lib, here it is:

It is a multi-volume set published by Little Brown, updated with an annual
supplement:

Areeda, Phillip E. ANTITRUST LAW: AN ANALYSIS OF ANTITRUST PRINCIPLES
     AND THEIR APPLICATION

Originally the authors were Areeda and Turner; Hovenkamp is now coauthor
of new material, including the annual supplement volume.

Now the bad news. With the latest volume due out next month, the set is
up to 11 volumes at a purchase price of US$1,295. Furthermore, one
law-libber told me "Be warned that upkeep on this set is exorbitant: over
$325 for the annual supplement volume. Little Brown last year instituted
a humongous price increase, so beware!"

On the other hand, the Little Brown rep told me that it's possible to
purchase individual volumes if desired, at a unit cost of US$125 (Vols.
I-IX) or US$135 (Vol. X). The flyer he faxed me gave the following
information:

ANTITRUST LAW is organized by parts:

Part One: Preliminary and Pervasive Issues: Antitrust Goals, Coverage,
     Procedure and Economics

   Part Two: Market Structure Issues

Part Three: Restraints of Trade: Hoizontal and Vertical (Vols. IX-X)

Apart from Part Three, it's not clear which volumes are included in which
parts. The volumes are listed as follows:

   Vols. I and III (1978)
   Vols. IV and V (1980)
   Vols. VI and VII (1986)
   Vol. VIII (1989)
   Vol. IX (1991)
Vols. II and IIA (1995); Vol. II by P. Areeda and H. Hovenkamp; Vol.
IIA by P. Areeda, H. Hovenkamp, and J. Solow
Vol. X (to be published December 1995); by P. Areeda, H. Hovenkamp and
      E. Elhauge
