Due to popular demand, here's the information on the "cheapie" cataloging
program I mentioned yesterday (hopefully it's still available somewhere...).
Records Databank for Windows by Digital Systems Research
Also worth noting is that it provides templates for cataloging and
keeping track of all sorts of different things: receipts, household
inventory, birthdays, records, CDs, etc., etc., BUT you can change the
templates and create your own. Will wonders never cease!
