Whoa! I've worked at a big law firm for two years, and during that time,
I've learned alot about the human dynamics of organizations. Doing
research in a private sector setting will IMHO always be a job for a
librarian-type. The "big shots" simply don't have time to do research.

So, whether or not it continues to be called a "library" and whether or
not it continues to contain books and other paper-based resources, I
think librarians who are ready and willing to move with the times will
continue to enjoy good job security for many years to come.

On the contrary to the author quoted above, I believe that librarianship,
or at least law librarianship, is entering a period of renaissance.
