Sampson and Tindall's Texas Family Code Annotated, August 1995 edition seems
to have a different version of this section than West's Texas Family Code,
1996 soft bound edition. I hesitate to even trust the session laws and HB
418, as it could be misprinted.
A DA at this courthouse placed a call to Lawyer's Cooperative last week and
has yet to receive an answer. Has anyone encountered and resolved this
problem with either publisher? For example, one version says "must" and one
version says "may" concerning the application for protective orders.
TIA to all who reply, and will not add to cyber clutter by individually or
globally thanking all who reply.
