This message is taken from the Arie-l listserv -- thought you'd like
to know. I plan to issue an updated list of law libraries with
active Ariel installation in September using this directory. So,
please do your best to register and keep your address current. Thank
you. --Win-Shin

Subject: Ariel registration and change of IP addresses
Ariel users,
A note about Ariel addresses. As I hope most of you know, we have a
list of registered Ariel users that's available through the Web and
anonymous FTP. The Web URL is:
http://www-rlg.stanford.edu/aridir.html
The FTP site is lyra.stanford.edu. The directory /pub/ariel contains
various files including a brief version of the directory
(wariadr.txt) and a complete version (waridir.txt). Information in
these files is generated automatically each day from data you
provide using the Registration command in Ariel for Windows.
The directory information is kept according to IP address. If the IP
address of your Ariel PC changes, please do this:
1. Register again when your Ariel PC is set up to use the new
IP address. Ariel automatically picks up the IP address and
domain name of the PC during the registration process.
2. Send a note to bl.ric@rlg.stanford.edu asking us to remove the
record for the old IP address. Please use the subject heading
"Change of Ariel IP address" and please indicate both the old
address that you want removed and the new address that you
just registered. It would also be helpful if you include the
new fully qualified domain name for the new address if you know
it.
Thanks
