I am posting this question for a student who is doing a Field Experience
Professional Internship in her MLS program at the University of Kentucky.
Please send all responses to me and I will forward them to her.
The private law firm librarians in Cincinnati have asked a library school
student to investigate the options in creating a union list of holdings for
their libraries. This is a project that has been dreamed about for more than
5 years, but there was no time to go through with it. The student would like
information on the following:
1. Other communities of private law firm librarians who have successfully
created union lists.
2. Any types of cooperative arrangements between law librarians.
3. Other multi-type law union lists that might be available.
We have performed a preliminary literature search for the student, but there
is not a lot out there. She is therefore interested in both research sources
and personal experiences.
Any help towards this effort will help out the student and the librarians in
Cincinnati. Thanks.
All replies can be sent to me.
