Here we are tearing our hair out about getting another request for a
government publication and wondering how many problems will occur in the
ordering process--and if it will ever show up.
So I go to the list to see if anyone can suggest tips on how to get items
from HUD, the OCC, Federal Reserve, etc. These are not covered by Bernan
or Hein and are not handled by GPO. Most are subscriptions, i.e. Federal
Reserve Regulatory Service and Consumer and Community Affairs Handbook,
HUD Mortgagee Letters, HUD Handbook of FHA Lending, etc. Is there any vendor
you know who can be coaxed or cajoled to do
this sort of thing. We would gladly pay the service charge to be able to
order it and know it would arrive with a bill. This prepayment
deal and long delay is getting ridiculous. We have to request a check
and wait for it here,
then mail to the goverment and wait..and wait.. and call..and call..
Am I missing some obvious resource? Thanks for any valuable advice.
