I remember in the discussion of AALL's budget a few months ago, the
question was raised, "How much does ALA spend on lobbying?" The August
_Library Journal_ has the answer on page 38:
ALA "has doubled the Washington Office's FY 95 budget from $750,000 to
$1.5 million for FY 96."
