The August _Internet World_ has several good articles listing and
evaluating web sites (and gopher sites) with both federal and state
government information.

Look for "Of, by and for the People: An unprecedented amount of
government data is available at your fingertips" by David R. Noack and
"State of the States: While most states now have a presence on the Net,
our survey shows some are dynamite and some are duds" by James Igoe.
