My response to that particular situation -- If I were unable to answer a
reference question and thought that law-lib was the appropriate source I
would have posted the question myself. I don't think most of us mind
answering an occassional question from a non law librarian but I do think
we need to know a little more about the poster -- is this a law student
-- an attorney, etc. It's part of the reference interview if that person
were standing in front of us ---it helps to gauge the level and depth of
information the patron needs. Just my 2 cents.
