CD Experiences

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys that have been sharing your cd
experiences would add me to the list.

LSZHL has about 160 attorneys in Houston, Dallas, and Austin. We have
several cd products, CCH Standard Federal, most of the Bender products, and
are getting ENFLEX federal and state. All of the products are on towers and
on a wan and available to all offices, but practically no one is using them.
My new admin partner has it in his head that I should be able to reduce the
size of the library dramatically in the very near future by going electronic.

I am getting too old and tired to come up with new reasons why throwing all
the books shouldn't happen next year. I have good feel for costs of adding
cd products and have gone on record as believing that the only way to get my
users out of books and into cd's is to throw the paper away. I'm not a
reactionary (just fearing for my job), but I don't think the technology is
advanced (read easy) enough for my users at this point. The actual users
are also opposed to eliminating the books, and they are a very computer
literate bunch.

The whole point of the above is that I have to write a five year plan and
could use some new prose. My is getting rather stale. So any help,
suggestions, insights, etc would be appreciated. Also would be helpful to
know what products people have and how much they cost. TIA.

P.S. Has anyone compared ENFLEX with BNA's Environmental cd. My
environmental guys changed their minds on BNA mainly over cost. Am familar
with BNA and have been lead to believe that it is more comprehensive than
Enflex. My only experience with Enflex is using international stuff on
Westlaw. Thanks.
