I received many requests for a summary of responses to my query
regarding cd-rom networking hardware. I am attaching (really copying)
below the 2 substantive responses. Thanks for the help.

We are using Logicraft, with very good results. I currently have 26
CD-ROMs on 3 7-drive towers (2 logicrafts and one unknown, donated
by Lawyers Coop). One of the drives was replaced by a 2 gig hard
drive. Very fast, holds 4 cd's.

Logicraft is very responsive. The equipment works extremely well. We
paid for technician help (3 days) and the guy was wonderful; did not
leave until all the bugs were really worked out, and I understood how
things worked so I could maintain. I highly recommend them.

When I talked to Meridian, I had the distinct feeling that we were too
small for them to be concerned about (we have over 1,000 students).

I would be happy to answer any other questions.

We use Logicraft's CD ROM software and hardware. It seems to work
fine. My MIS person would have more details, I just know it works. :-)
