We're trying to install the Bancroft-Whitney Witkin on CD product, using
the DOS Folio software, on our network. We have a Logicraft CD Server using
LAN CD software.
The Logicraft software lets you assign a drive to the entire CD server,
then you can use subdirectories for each CD, thereby getting around the
26 drive limitation (since there are only 26 letters in the alphabet.)
Mind you, this is a GOOD thing.
However, technical support at Bancroft-Whitney has been unable to
tell us how to configure Folio so that it will read the CDs. They told
our MIS person that since they didn't write Folio, they don't know how to
change the configuration to accomodate this set-up. They offered no
further assistance, then seemed surprised when we said that we might have to
return the product.
I know someone out there must have configured Folio to work with this
kind of arrangement. Can anyone help us out?
